One of the main updates to the iPhone 15 was, of course, the processor. It was installed with Apple A16 Bionic, which is used in the iPhone 14 Pro and iPhone 14 Pro Max. If we talk about performance, even though this is last year’s chipset, it still remains one of the most powerful in the world. So if you want to be able to play on your smartphone, then you definitely won’t have any problems with this.
In addition, you can forget even the slightest breaks. Apple A16 Bionic will give you a great smartphone experience. If the interface, opening, and operation of applications are not glitchy on the iPhone 14 Pro and iPhone 14 Pro Max, then they will not be on the iPhone 15. Compared to the iPhone 13, this will definitely be a step forward, although not as big as we would like.
What kind of camera is in the iPhone 15
In addition to the processor, the iPhone 15 also updated the camera. Moreover, this is not just adding some software features, but new hardware. For the first time among Apple’s basic smartphones, the iPhone 15 features a high-resolution 48 MP main camera. Moreover, by default, it takes pictures in 24 MP, which makes photos on the new iPhone more detailed than many Android flagships, whose final photo is 12 MP.
So from a camera point of view, there has been a qualitative step forward. Of course, it was expected several years ago, but better late than never. But the processor and camera are not features for everyone. For some, the speed of the iPhone XS is enough, but the camera is only needed to take pictures of counters and different price tags. But what will immediately catch your eye after purchasing the iPhone 15 is the new appearance of the front panel. Finally, Dynamic Island has reached basic iPhones. No more bangs. Only a neat oval with Face ID sensors and a front camera.
Although the iPhone 13 has a narrower bang compared to the one that was originally on iPhones, Dynamic Island is perceived as a more modern solution. In addition, Apple has upgraded it with additional functions in the form of Live Activities and various icons that appear when performing any actions. Thanks to this decision, the iPhone 15 after the iPhone 13 will be perceived as a truly new device.
iPhone with USB-C
When talking about any model from the iPhone 15 line, one cannot fail to mention the new USB-C connector. Now you are not limited to Lightning and can charge your new phone with almost any cable. It’s a pity that they didn’t introduce faster charging speeds, but the very fact of the appearance of USB-C in the iPhone is encouraging. The new port allows you to connect a huge number of different peripherals to your iPhone.
If in addition to an iPhone, you also have a MacBook, then there should probably be a special hub that allows you to connect regular USB-A flash drives to the laptop. Using it, you can connect them to the iPhone 15. Someone has already managed to connect the new iPhone to the Internet via cable. Moreover, the speed turned out to be really impressive.
Which iPhones are matte?
There is one more element in the iPhone 15 that distinguishes it from the basic iPhones of previous years. In terms of the shape of the case and the location of the cameras, Apple did not change anything. The colors have become significantly duller, and the impractical glossy back panel has been replaced by a matte one. A similar solution was previously used exclusively in the iPhone Pro, but this year it has appeared in the basic version, which has pleased many.
It must be noted that this was a great move on Apple’s part. Still, the glossy back panel collected fingerprints from the slightest touch. And if you are used to carrying a smartphone without a case, then it is almost impossible to find it clean. Now there is no such problem. And a definite plus in appearance.
iPhone 15 design
But there is one reason that can easily make you refuse to buy the iPhone 15, despite all the innovations. Few people can tell by appearance that you have the newest iPhone. The thing is that you will probably be wearing it in a case, so you won’t be able to appreciate the new color and matte back. The camera layout of the iPhone 15 is similar to both the iPhone 13 and iPhone 14. The most you can grab onto is the Dynamic Island on the front. But even here you will be disappointed. Without seeing the cameras on the back, we can assume that at best you have last year’s iPhone 14 Pro.
So if you want everyone to know that you have the latest iPhone, then you should either carry it without a case, which is unsafe, or upgrade to the iPhone 15 Pro Max. So at least it will be clear that you really have the latest iPhone. In general, if you only care about the appearance of your phone, then the iPhone 13 is quite good and will happily live with you for at least another year. And then, lo and behold, they’ll hide Face ID under the screen and come up with some interesting replacement for Dynamic Island.
